Challenges

Read Alikes

If you liked a particular book, then recommend a book(s) similar to the one you liked. If you've played our "If you like . . . try . . . " challenge before, you've got the idea!
Thanks to the Erica (@2020hines_sight) for today's challenge.

    Updates

The way these updates work is that you post whatever you want your fellow readathoners to see TODAY. Whether that's your progress for the previous day, your contribution to today's challenge, an incredibly witty tweet about the book you're reading, or a hygge reading picture you posted on Instagram, link it here. The linky will be open for 24 hours. There will be another linky tomorrow. Please include a DIRECT LINK to your update so we don't have to go clicking around to find it.

If you have questions, please tweet us @boutofbooks or email us (boutofbooks at gmail dot com).

    1. I love the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. If you like them, books that are similar but considered the "anti-Narnia" are Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials series starting with The Golden Compass. I love the daemon idea in it and that every person has one. And, similar in a way by their weirdness, science and note-quite understandibility are L'Engles A Wrinkle in Time series.

    2. If you like Gossip Girl then you should try The Secret Diamond Sisters series by Michelle Madow!

    3. I’m actually going to recommend the book I finished yesterday for the read-a-thon, The Woman in the Window by A.J.Finn, for those who enjoyed The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. Definitely read both if you’re a mystery/thriller fan.
